Is verification required to use Whim?
Yes. To keep our community safe and secure, all new customers need to provide a valid government-issued photo ID during checkout. This quick step helps us verify your account and prevent fraud.
How long does the approval process take?
Most customers are approved within 5 minutes. In some cases, it may take longer if additional verification is required, but we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.
When are my monthly payments due?
Your first monthly payment is charged at checkout when you place your order.
The second payment is charged 30 days after your item is delivered. After that, payments continue every 30 days on the same cycle.
Is Whim a rent-to-own program?
Whim is not financing or rent-to-own. There's no long-term commitment, not accruing ownership, and no waiting for a term to end.
If you fall in love with your product and decide you'd rather own it, you can request a purchase quote anytime through customer support. Purchase pricing is based on our assessment of fair market value, which generally declines over time and depends on factors like release dates, product age, product condition, demand, and inventory.
Purchase quotes will have separate terms and conditions. If you buy the product you gain ownership but will lose unlimited trial benefits (such as free returns, recurring consumables, included software subscriptions, and no-cost replacements.)
